This again is a something I make for breakfast once in a while and I made this on our anniversary as the loving husband asked for this.

Ingredients For Uppit
Method
1/2 cup semolina
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup milk(dissolve few strands of saffron )
2/3 cup sugar or according to taste
small pinch turmeric
fried cashews and raisins
Method
Bring the milk and the water to a rolling boil.
add the sugar and the turmeric,cook till the sugar dissolves.
Add the semolina.
cook till done
Garnish with cashews and raisins.

Ingredients For Uppit
- 1/2 cup Semolina
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 small onion chopped
- 3 slit green chillies
- 1/2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- salt
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- Seasoning- mustard seeds,cumin seeds,curry leaves.
Method
- Heat oil and do the seasoning,add green chillies,onion and ginger and garlic paste.
- Once the onion is almost cooked add the tomatoes,salt and the lime juice.
- When tomato is cooked up add the boiling water to this.
- Boil for another minute or so and add the semolina(keep stirring constantly)
- Garnish with coriander leaves.

I love upma... so yummy. I usually used to make it the same way yours. But now I dont make it as my husband doesnt like it.
