Fish Curry

This easy yet tasty recipe is from my grandmom.......she is around 70 + years but looks just about 60 years or so,she says the secret to her beauty is washing her face in cold water .....as simple as that.We always tease my grandmom for a lot of things like her children(i.e my mom, aunts and uncles ) and how crazy they are,how come she looks so good even at this age and why she loves to go shopping and to movies even now but the funniest thing about her is that she has lost her sense of smell but still cooks so well and really fast.I often wonder that if I couldnt smell stuff would I still be intersted in cooking???

For the fish curry you need

1 lb fish (I used tilapia)
1 lemon sized ball of tamrind
2 big cloves of garlic
2 tbsp corriander powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
1.5 cup grated coconut
1 cup chopped red onions
couple of curry leaves
salt

Method
1.Wash and dry the fish.
2.Blend together tamrind, garlic, corriander powder ,chilli powder ,salt and the coconut with some water.
3.In pan heat some oil when hot add the curry leaves and the onions and fry till the onion is almost cooked.
4.Put in the blended mixture and cook for about 2 minutes.
5.Now drop the fish pieces gently and cook till the fish is cooked and the curry thickens.

This recipe will be going to The Saas Bahu Aur Sensex Contest -check it out the movie sounds like fun .
